Adult Faith Formation exists at St Brendan in order to help fulfill the parish vision to “become who you were created to be.” To help accomplish this our mission statement and our hope is that “St. Brendan Parish is your home to encounter Jesus and grow in virtue.” The Adult Faith Formation program offers a variety of bible studies, book groups, talks, events, and men’s, women’s and family programming for those seeking, those striving, and those sharing their faith. These opportunities to grow in knowledge of your Catholic faith are available year round. In addition to growing in knowledge of your Catholic faith, you will see how your community grows as you develop strong friendships, rooted in Christ, with the other participants!

The Book of Revelation is not about date setting or identifying current events, rather it illustrates the judgments brought on by humanity's disobedience to God's laws and His great mercy and love for us in spite of our rebellion. This Catholic Way Bible Study (https://cwbs.org/), taught by Lavinia Spirito is open to men and women in Wellnitz, Room 1, Mondays, 9-11 AM, Aug. 31-April 27 (no session Thanksgiving or Christmas). Season 5 of The Chosen covers the first five days of Jesus's final week in Jerusalem during Passover. Jesus enters to cheering crowds, cleanses the Temple, delivers final public teachings, shares the Last Supper with His apostles, and is betrayed and arrested in Gethsemane. This study is for women only and begins Thursday, Sept. 17 and runs for 8 weeks (no session on October 29). The AM Session is 8:45–10:45 (babysitting provided for the AM session) and the PM Session is 6:45–8:45 in the Davidson Rooms.

This Story of Salvation is a co-ed 25-week study held on Mondays beginning September 21 at 7 PM. Watch videos featuring prominent Bible Teacher Jeff Cavins followed by discussion led by Bryan Moore. This study takes you on a fascinating journey through the entire Bible, focusing on the fourteen books that present the basic narrative of salvation history. Using the unique color-coded Bible Timeline Learning System, you will identify the twelve timeline periods and the events important in each one. Cost of the workbook is $30.

Offered again! This co-ed 9-week video, discussion and prayer series begins Tuesday, Sept. 22 at 7 PM. Hosted by evangelist Matthew Leonard, Introduction to Real Prayer introduces participants to the basics of prayer, its necessity, and how to make it a part of our daily lives. Matthew guides viewers through the ins and outs of vocal, meditative, and contemplative prayer, showing not just what they are, but how to do them. He also covers the three stages of the spiritual life, as well as steps to make progress in your spiritual life, in an easy to understand style. No cost for materials.
